Slovakia’s Low Tatras resort

Jasná is a small village in central Slovakia, set in the Low Tatras mountains and forming part of the municipality of Demänovská Dolina. The name of the village is also the name most skiers use for the ski area, which operates under the Chopok banner, and the two are inseparable: there is little to Jasná beyond the mountain, which is precisely why it works as a ski base. Visitors are here for the lifts, and the lifts are what the resort has invested in.

Thirty lifts for 49 km

As a small village inside a larger municipality, Jasná is not a town with a life of its own; visitors come for the mountain, and the atmosphere is that of a ski base rather than a historic settlement. Getting there
