Kuutsemäe sits on Kuutsemägi, at 217 m the highest hill in the Otepää Upland, about 10 km west of Otepää. It has more slopes than anywhere else in Estonia: seven short, floodlit runs of roughly 200-470 m spread around the hill, plus a children’s slope, a snow park and a cross course. None of the runs has more than about 55 m of vertical. Ski with the right expectations: this is lap skiing on short runs, well groomed and lit.
The centre is relaxed and friendly for families. There is accommodation and a sauna at the base, a ski school and rental, and the same ticket works at Munakas across the valley. It is a good place for children and improvers and for a winter weekend around Otepää. Stronger skiers will like switching between the two hills more than staying on one.
